We explore the potential of public space and develop participatory projects in the interplay of visual art, architecture, and collective practice. Through actions and interventions, places come to life and temporary architectures become a hub for diverse forms of social gathering.

Our workshops in the Kunstbau invite you to actively shape the space. The focus is on practice: culture as a living, negotiable process.

In the workshop program for school classes, we explore spaces. Together with pupils from the secondary school on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Ring, we work in and with the Kunstbau. Invited artists will contribute their perspectives and practices. The Kunstbau will become a resonating space for different voices and experiences.

The afternoon programme is Straightforward and open to all. Sewing, building, shaping - no registration, no age limit. This is about trying things out, making things together, turning your own ideas into reality. For this, we have twelve saws and lots of nails for everyone.
